Developments in customer contact
Of course, things have changed over time, but mainly in terms of technology. At DuSart Pharma, we have always maintained very close contact with our customers, so that hasn’t changed over the years. Our customer base has also remained virtually unchanged, ranging from large retailers to small independent therapists. We do our best to serve all our customers as well as possible. With the advent of mobile phones, email and, more recently, programmes such as Microsoft Teams, the lines of communication with our customers have become much shorter. Being able to react quickly is a must. In our market, this is, of course, also essential in order to stay one step ahead of the competition.
Developments in machinery
Our machinery has changed considerably over the years. Every year, we invest substantially to keep our machinery up to date and to expand it where necessary. Whereas machines used to be heavy and cumbersome and contained little electronics, they are now often sleek, high-tech designs aimed at greater efficiency (greater user-friendliness, shorter changeover times, high production speeds and extensive data provision). The market demands diversity, and machine manufacturers are, of course, responding to this. Examples include multi-layer tableting (multilayer technology), filling hard gel capsules with oil mixtures, or filling hard gel capsules with small controlled-release tablets.
Developments in the field of quality
In our sector, quality is key. A safe and trustworthy product for the consumer is what matters most to us. Products must meet an ever-increasing number of requirements. Particularly at the raw materials stage, there is a growing need for assurance. Due to these numerous requirements, the lead time from enquiry to quotation has lengthened. Whereas DuSart Pharma previously had just one quality assurance officer, we now have an entire team to tackle all quality-related issues.
Exclusive
: Our growth requires more physical space, but unfortunately, space is not exactly in abundance in our region. We are therefore obliged to make clever use of our current space, and so far we have been succeeding in this. To expand our office capacity, we have decided to add an extra floor to one of our buildings. This floor will provide space for around 10 additional workstations and two meeting rooms. The architect is currently busy drawing up plans and, if all goes well, we will be able to start construction this autumn. We will keep you informed of any developments.
